First Consortium meeting

On the 15th October, the first Consortium meeting of the SisAl Pilot Project took place online.
SisAl Pilot partners discussed the progresses of the activities and the next steps to be taken. We will demonstrate a patented novel industrial process to produce silicon (Si), enabling a shift from today’s process to a far more environmentally and economically alternative: in SisAl Pilot quartz in slag is reduced though aluminothermic reduction that utilizes secondary raw materials such as aluminum (Al) scrap and dross, as replacements for carbon reductants used today.
